WBT volume

This year my class has been enjoying WBT. I'm very excited they are really into the energy WB brings to the classroom. The teacher next doors uses WBT in her classroom as well, and the students like to try and be louder than the other class. This week I had administration in my room twice, and both times my class was trying to beat the volume of the other class. The admins had to hold their ears a few times.

I guess it's time to make a warning sign to hang outside my door. That way when the next admin or guest walks into my room, they will be aware of the volume and energy my classroom has.

Butter

Making butter has become the class favorite every year, and this year was no different. We have been studying matter in science, and this week we watched The Butter Battle by Dr. Seuss on YouTube. While the students watched the video, they shook their cups (thanks to QT for donating) which had heavy cream inside. We stopped about halfway through to look at the changes the heavy cream was making. The kids were so excited. When the movie finished, the kids got to enjoy the butter they just made in class.

Astronaut Pudding

My students are great this year! We read about space this week in our reading textbook. At the end of the week, I told the kids we were going to be like astronauts and eat pudding. We made pudding the way an astronaut might receive it on a space shuttle.
